Community Open House Regarding Solar Facilities
Upcoming Community Open House
Kittitas County Community Development Services is hosting a community open house to share information and obtain feedback regarding the county’s efforts to develop siting criteria and mitigation measures for commercial solar facilities. The open house will be held:

In January, Kittitas County Commissioners placed a moratorium on accepting applications for larger solar projects until development regulations can be adopted to address concerns related to impacts to agricultural activities and surrounding land uses. A work plan has been adopted and a citizen advisory committee has been meeting since September to discuss alternatives.
