KEEN's Fall Workshop in the Yakima Canyon
“Is the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway an important wildlife habitat corridor?” The 26-mile roadway that follows the N-S path of the Yakima River is bounded by public and private lands and preserves cultural history and spiritual places. It is the home of large hooved mammals, pollinators, native plants, reptiles, fish, and migrating birds. Have recent fires and the invasion of cheatgrass impaired the Canyon beyond repair, or is it worth building partnerships to restore & protect? Join local public agencies, non-profit organizations, and landowners for a FREE workshop to discuss the importance of the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway!
