Manastash Architecture Planning & Development (MAPD)

About Us

Manastash Architecture Planning & Development (MAPD) is a Central Washington design practice rooted in place, history, and community. Based in Ellensburg, we work across the disciplines of architecture, preservation, planning, and development — helping shape thoughtful, enduring spaces for public agencies, nonprofits, private clients, developers, and our own development projects.

We believe that good design is contextual, not generic — responsive to the people, materials, landscapes, and climate that define a place. Our work spans from affordable housing to adaptive reuse, civic infrastructure to community planning, private residences to public utility district headquarters, all guided by a commitment to sustainability, craft, and public life.

MAPD is led by Marc Brown, on the foundation of his practice, Marc Brown Architecture & Design, with decades of experience in civic and historic work, along with residential work for private clients; Molly McNamara, whose background includes major cultural and institutional projects and a focus on daylighting and sustainability; and Skylar Bisom-Rapp, an AICP-certified planner and development strategist with experience leading complex mixed-use and affordable housing development projects. Our team also includes Jordan Lowe, who brings affordable housing-specific construction and design-build experience shaped by his time with Inversion Design Build, a Yakima-based vertically integrated Design-Build-Development practice.
